Dressed In the Garden of Eden

Last night I attended the 2nd annual Dressed Fashion Show hosted by The Georgia Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA Georgia) at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Dressed is the chapter’s largest annual event and pairs Atlanta’s most talented interior designers and architects with the architectural and design industry manufacturers to create one of a kind and wearable garments out of nontraditional materials for a runway extravaganza like no other.

The sky was the limit as teams of 2-6 designers were challenged to construct  a highly unique garment made almost entirely from their sponsoring manufacturer’s  products as the theme for this year’s event was ‘Dressed in the Garden of Eden’  and I was completely blown away by the creativity of the garments.

Upon arrival to the Botanical Gardens I stopped to take my glam shot {who could pass up the opportunity} and I headed around to the large open garden for a Sinless Margarita {a low-calorie cocktail mix with Avion Tequila}, endless Hor’devours  and networking {my fav part}.

Supermodel and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey was the events MC and not far behind was her co-stars Phaedra Parks, Sheree Whitfield and Lawrence. I’d dare to say you’ll see a clip of the event in the next season of RHOA. There was however, a woman who I didn’t know {I’m sure you all can identify her} but whispers were going around saying she was going to be the newest member of the cast. Who knows but if she is remember you heard it here first..lol.

The winner of the Fashion event was The Design Atelier|Maharam who won $1000 and a trip to Jekyll Island. The evening concluded with more cocktails, music, and a dessert reception, which clearly sent me on a sugar high with the vast selections of sweet treats being passed around on silver platters! Another fabulous Social Scene event!

First place winner of 'Dressed'
