It’s something about the rich culture and history of Atlanta that has you mesmerized and insanely digging for more information about iconic tastemakers who have shaped the transitions of the city. Artists are visionaries and their recollection of the worlds idiosyncrasies are shaped into  transparent and coherent masterpieces that you can’t help but fall in love with!

The National Black Arts Festival, NBAF, consistently enriches our community with events that cater and appease even the persnickety of taste. The NBAF, is such an influence in the community that they were able to get Neiman Marcus Lenox, in Atlanta to close their doors for an evening of Fine Art + Fashion, as Tastemakers gathered to nibble on noshes and support the local fashion and fine art talents.

If you missed the last affair, you have a chance to redeem yourself.  If you consider yourself a Tastemaker and lover of Art in any form you will not want to miss the presenters of the NBAF unveil the 2011 Gala, A Salute to the Silver Screen. On July 16, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead you will experience the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. The Gala honors the many achievements of African-Americans in the film industry.

More than 500 of Atlanta’s cultural, business, and arts enthusiasts will partake in an elegant seated dinner, be entertained by the Joe Gransden Big Band and give back during the silent and live auctions. Attire for the evening is black tie for the gentleman and black or white gowns for the ladies.
