Atlanta: Women On The Move Honoree Celebration Night

I’m always inspired by women who dare to leave the land of familiar to venture into a unfamiliar world…it shows how tenacious they are and I’m always cheering these warriors on. Women On The Move, a non-profit organization based in South Florida, will be spreading their message of female empowerment to the city of Atlanta. The celebration entitled “Feel Love, Show Love, Honor Love” will commence on February 12, 2011 at the Mason Murer Fine Art Museum in Atlanta, GA at 7:00pm.

Leslie Harris, Founder of WOTM, has hit the mark with creating a movement that empowers, supports and educates women. There is a powerful list of honorees such as Valerie Jackson, former first lady of Atlanta; Elder Bernice King, Activist, Philanthropist; Rashan Ali, radio and TV personality and founder of Sporty Girls Inc; Tameka Raymond, Philanthropist; Darlene McCoy, Praise, Radio Personality, CEO Jaime Foster-Brown, Publisher of Sister to Sister Magazine; Angi Bones, Asst. Director, Tyler Perry Studios and Film Producer and a host of other dynamic and powerful women on the move!

The evening is hosted by Emmy Award Winner  and Anchor of 11 Alive News Karyn Greer and Mid Day Radio Host of Atlanta’s People Station V-103 Ramona DeBreaux. The event’s aim is to bring people together in order to inspire positivity and growth; and to show appreciation and love. Notable invited guests include Mayor Kasim Reed, Congressman John Lewis, Bob Johnson, Roger Bobb, Monique, Lance Gross, Sean Garrett, Loraine Smith, Kwanza Hall and a special invitation to the Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy Personnel in Atlanta.
