Barbie Celebrates 125th Career with Global Initiative to Inspire Girls

Barbie has to be the hardest working woman at Mattel! One of the reasons why I allow my daughter to play with Barbie is she allows little girls to dream as far as their mind can take them! Barbie as showed us you can be anything from a registered nurse to an aerobics instructor. I came across this Press Release and wanted to share with you because sister girl, yet again, is making her mark and this time you can be involved.

Barbie is kicks-off a global campaign to further inspire girls by partnering with The White House Project and Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Foundation, as well as announcing Barbie’s “10 Women to Watch in 2010” list. For the first time, consumers can help select Barbie doll’s 125th career by voting on and choosing from various occupations. The winning 125th career will be unveiled February 12th at a New York Toy Fair.

I encourage you to read and get involved with the efforts of these two organizations! Way to Go Barbie!
